Jennifer Smith, DDS, MS

“I have always enjoyed working with children and teens. When I practiced as a general dentist, I soon realized that my favorite part was the interactions and relationships that I got to build with kids and parents. I loved learning about people and being a happy part of their day. After two years of general dentistry, I decided that orthodontics presented the most opportunity for working with children and teens and building lasting relationships. It also took away the ‘pain’ part of dentistry that I did not enjoy.”

“Today I love to chat with patients and I love to educate. I really enjoy seeing someone make the journey from shy and covering their mouth when they speak to a confident, openly smiling individual. I’m quite extroverted, very hands-on, friendly, caring and available. I speak to every person in the office each day. I focus on positive communication and information flowing between myself, my team and my parents and patients. Patients know that I don’t treat every individual who walks in the door. I think that over-treatment is too common in the current competitive environment. I want every patient to end up with a beautiful and functional smile in the fastest and safest way possible… not the most expensive way.”

“I hope to give my patients an amazing experience where they grow to feel like a part of our extended family, plus a beautiful, functional smile they can be proud of.”

Dr. Jen has three young children and spends most of her free time with them. She also loves to read, play tennis, swim, travel and shop.

Dena Sawchuk, DDS, MS

“From the day I got my very own braces off, I knew this is what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. I wanted to be able to create positive change and instill confidence in those I helped. Being able to provide beautiful, healthy and functional smiles that last a life time is a truly a rewarding experience.”

“I was drawn to orthodontics because it allows me to become apart of a very personal journey with each patient, getting the opportunity to watch patients of all ages transform and grow while providing a service that can truly change lives. One of the best parts of this job is being able to educate, chat and really get to know my patients, I would hope everyone feels like they become a part of our orthodontic family.”

“I am ecstatic to be joining Dr. Jen and the Impact Orthodontic team because this clinic embodies everything I believe in. From the high quality, gentle care provided to all patients, the open communication throughout each step of treatment and the overall down to earth and fun loving nature of the office.  I hope to make a positive impact on the lives of all my patients and I know we will have some fun too!”
