Dr. Jennifer Smith
I earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Alberta in 2004 and spent two years working as a general dentist before pursuing my passion for orthodontics. I continued my education at the University of Michigan, where I completed my Master of Science in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, graduating in 2009. This journey gave me a strong foundation in both general dentistry and specialized orthodontic care, allowing me to create beautiful, confident smiles for my patients every day.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Jen is a mom to three amazing teenagers and two energetic dogs. She loves spending time with her family, reading, playing sports, and traveling. Family and fun are at the heart of everything she does, and she works hard to make every patient feel like part of the clinic family, too.
Dr. Jen is also proud to work at Alberta Children’s Hospital, where she has the privilege of caring for cleft lip and palate, craniofacial, and special needs patients. She loves being part of their journeys and supporting these incredible families through each step of their care.
Dr. Dena Sawchuk
I graduated from the University of Alberta in 2013 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Afterward, I completed a one-year General Practice Residency Program at the University of Alberta Hospital, which provided valuable hands-on experience in diverse clinical settings. I then pursued my Master of Science in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics at the University of Alberta, earning my degree in 2017. My education has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to care for patients of all ages, by providing healthy, lasting smiles that have the power to change lives.
Orthodontics offers a unique opportunity to accompany each patient on a personal journey—helping them transform not just their smiles, but their lives. I’m grateful to be part of that experience, watching patients of all ages grow and gain newfound confidence.
A proud Calgary native with two young daughters, Dr. Dena enjoys spending her free time outdoors with her family. She also loves to travel, practice yoga, dance, hike, read, and crochet. She believes in living an active and balanced lifestyle, both at work and in her personal life.
Dr. Wendy Vu
I received my Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Alberta in 2012 and spent nearly a decade working as a general dentist before focusing on a career in orthodontics. I completed my specialty training at the University of Toronto, obtaining a Master’s degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. With a strong foundation in both general dentistry and orthodontics, I strive to provide high-quality, personalized care using the latest advancements to help my patients achieve healthy, confident smiles.
