We Care About Your Kids Like Our Own
Correction of crowding only requires very light sustained pressure to move teeth. Invisalign works by gently pushing on the teeth. Aligners are switched weekly, and each set is slightly different than the one before. These small changes will slowly push your teeth to where they need to be with minimal discomfort.
Because overcrowded teeth are more difficult to clean, cavities are prone to develop in areas where teeth are pressed tightly together, and flossing and brushing are less effective. Cavities can be avoided with a diligent oral care routine, but we advise taking advantage of Invisalign to reduce crowding and improve your ability to keep your teeth clean.
The length of treatment depends on the severity of the problem. Some overcrowding may be remedied through the use of Invisalign in 6 months, while some people may need to wear Invisalign for 18 months or more to get the smile they deserve.
We love working with kids, and starting orthodontic treatment in kids and teenagers is usually the best way to go. Dental crowding usually becomes worse with age, which is why it’s best to treat it early on.
