Sometimes the top and bottom teeth don't line up right, making it hard to bite and chew, and can hurt your teeth over time. Our treatments, like Invisalign™ and braces, help fix this, making smiles look great.
An underbite is when the bottom teeth stick out past the top teeth, and an overbite is when the top teeth cover the bottom ones too much. Both can mean there's a problem with how the jaw is shaped. They can cause teeth to wear out faster because they don't line up right. It can even make it hard to chew food and talk clearly sometimes.
Tooth crowding happens a lot in children. It's when there's not enough space in the mouth for all the teeth, so they can bunch up, twist, or get pushed out of place. This makes the teeth look all squished together.
A gummy smile is when you see more gums than teeth when your child smiles, which might make them feel a bit shy about their smile. This can happen if the teeth are small, if there's a gum problem, or if the teeth came in late or in a different way.
Three Simple Steps to Your Child's Perfect Smile
We begin with a full check-up, talking about what your child needs and what they want for their smile.
We’ll make a special plan for your child that uses the latest and least painful ways to make their smile better.
We’ll keep you in the loop and help you learn as we go. We’re here for you and your child every step of the way.
The team is outstanding – professional, kind, and detailed. Everyone, from the office to the clinical staff, especially Drs. Jen and Dena, are wonderful with children and make the braces experience comfortable. Special thanks to Karen for her exceptional care with our son’s LightForce braces!
My 12-year-old son and I are both current patients at Impact Orthodontics, and I can’t express enough how great this clinic is. Dr. Jen and Dr. Dena along with every single staff member are friendly, kind, knowledgable, patient and excited about their jobs every day. They are so well organized in the office, and use such great technology with Invisalign that it makes orthodontic visits more like a visit with friends.
My 2 oldest children received treatments at Impact Orthodontics, and my youngest just went for an evaluation. I love the personalized service that the Impact team gives and how they care about offering the best service. I would recommend going to Impact to anyone in order to receive an evaluation and treatment.
Let’s talk about how we can brighten your child’s world with a confident smile.
Send us a message, and we’ll get back to you swiftly to start this exciting journey together!
Absolutely not! We are happy to see anyone that is interested in improving their smile or bite. You can call, text, email or book online at your convenience.
We recommend that children have their first orthodontic check-up at age 7. This helps identify issues that may be easier to correct if caught early.
While braces and Invisalign™ can cause some discomfort, they shouldn’t be painful. We use the latest techniques and technology to ensure your child’s comfort throughout the process.
The length of time needed for braces or Invisalign™ varies depending on your child’s case, but on average, it can be between 12 to 36 months. We’ll make a special plan that tells you exactly how long for your child.
It’s a bit tricky, but don’t worry! We’ll show you and your child the best way to clean teeth with braces and maintain good oral hygiene.
Absolutely! We recommend a protective mouthguard for sports. Playing an instrument might feel different at first, but kids get used to it fast.
Invisalign™ is almost invisible, and you can take it out to eat and brush so there are fewer changes to everyday routines. They’re a great option for kids and teens.
There might be a little bit of time when talking feels weird, but it gets better very quickly.
If any part of your child’s braces comes loose or breaks, contact us immediately. We’ll tell you what to do next and make an appointment to fix them.
Typically, we see patients every 6-20 weeks, but this can vary. With tools like our Dental Monitoring app, we see each patient at the right time for them.
Yes, to protect their braces, your child should avoid hard, sticky, and chewy foods. We’ll give you a list of what’s okay to eat and what to stay away from.
We get that you’re busy, so we have different times you can choose for appointments to make life easier.
Costs are different for everyone, but we’ll help you find a way to pay that’s okay for your family. We have payment plans that let you pay bit by bit.
